EA "Revitalizing" the Medal of Honor Series

Perhaps tired of watching Activision wallowing in the warm, soothing mud of Modern Warfare, Electronic Humanistic discipline has announced that it plans to "revitalize" the Decoration of Honor serial publication and other core IPs.

The Laurel wreath of Honor franchise debuted tenner years ago this month for the PlayStation, eventually ontogenesis to spawn numerous expansions and sequels across a number of platforms ranging from the GameCube and Game Boy Advance to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But interest in the serial publication has cooled in recent long time, thanks in no small part to the Call of Responsibility franchise, which thoroughly trounced it as the war shooter of choice.

It's a situation EA is apparently fed up putt up with. "In the months before, you'll hear more nigh our plans to revitalize core IP, including the Decoration of Honor franchise," Ea Games Chairwoman Postmark Gibeau said during yesterday's irregular quarter earnings call.

Gibeau didn't offer any hints A to what the company has in beware but given the success that Activision has experient with the Modern War games, a move into the current ERA certainly doesn't seem unlikely. Going square-toed-to-toe with Infinity Ward's behemoth may not be a particularly appealing strategy but with World War Two pretty good tapped out at this point, there just aren't numerous other options.
